Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CastMyType ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including actors ("Talent") and casting professionals ("Clients").

2. Platform Description

CastMyType is an AI-powered casting intelligence platform that:

  • •Helps actors create type-based profiles and get discovered by casting professionals
  • •Helps casting professionals search for talent by role type, vibe, and physical attributes
  • •Uses AI to analyze headshot photographs and generate casting type tags
  • •Provides tools for managing credits, training history, and representation information

3. Eligibility

  • •You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform
  • •You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • •One account per person; accounts are non-transferable
  • •You may not create an account if previously suspended or removed from the Platform

4. Talent Accounts

4.1 Your Profile

  • •You are responsible for the accuracy of all uploaded content including credits, skills, and representation information
  • •Your published profile is visible to verified casting professionals
  • •You control which information is public via your profile settings
  • •Misrepresentation of credits or identity may result in immediate account suspension

4.2 Headshot and AI Analysis

  • •By uploading a headshot, you grant us a limited license to process the image using AI for type analysis
  • •You separately consent to biometric data processing via the BIPA Consent process, required before any headshot upload
  • •AI-generated type tags are suggestions — you may edit them to better reflect your casting

4.3 Resume and Credits

  • •You represent that your credits are accurate and that you have the right to claim them
  • •We do not independently verify submitted credits
  • •IMDB links are display-only and self-managed

5. Client Accounts

5.1 Professional Use Only

  • •Client accounts are for professional casting use only
  • •Talent profile data may only be used for legitimate casting purposes

5.2 Prohibited Client Actions

  • •You may not harvest, scrape, or bulk-export talent data
  • •You may not share talent contact information outside your immediate production team
  • •You may not use talent information for marketing or any non-casting purpose

5.3 Shortlists

Shortlists and casting notes are private to your account. Shared shortlist links are your responsibility.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload. By uploading, you grant CastMyType a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display your profile, process your headshot with AI, and store your content. You may revoke this license by deleting your account.

6.2 Our Platform

The Platform — including its AI models, design, and software — is owned by CastMyType. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute our technology.

6.3 AI-Generated Content

Type tags, vibe analysis, and archetype suggestions are AI-generated and provided as casting guidance only — not factual determinations. We make no warranty about their accuracy or fitness for any particular role.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • •Create fake profiles or impersonate any person or entity
  • •Upload content you do not own or have rights to
  • •Use the Platform for harassment, discrimination, or any illegal purpose
  • •Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Platform
  • •Use automated tools to access the Platform without prior written permission
  • •Misuse talent contact information obtained through the Platform

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty. We make no guarantee that use of CastMyType will result in casting, employment, or bookings.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CastMyType shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify CastMyType from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We will notify users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
